When going out to eat, the absolute best way to end your meal is with a great dessert and a nice cocktail that pairs well with that dessert. In San Diego there is no shortage of great restaurants, but if you are looking for the best San Diego restaurants for great dessert, there is no better place to go than Lionfish. While most people know us for our modern coastal cuisine, we have so much more than that and have some great desserts to help finish off your meal.

LIONFISH SAN DIEGO DESSERTS
TROPICAL GANACHE
We bet you have never tried a ganache quite like this. We’ve taken a traditional chocolate ganache and added plenty of delicious fun fruit flavors. This includes banana coconut ice cream, whipped coconut and a passion fruit jam topping. It is fresh, fruity and delicious.
Pairs well with: Riesling. Try one of our glasses of Riesling with this tropical ganache. It will really go well with the coconut flavoring and the sweet and tart flavors that go with it.
PEANUT CARAMEL TART
Our peanut caramel tart features real peanut brittle, kettle corn and vanilla bean ice cream. It is salty, and has just the right amount of caramel in it.
Pairs well with: The G-Mail. One of our best craft cocktails, the G-Mail is made with Hennessy VS, Rothman and Winter Orchard Apricot, Honey and Lime. The sweet flavors of this whiskey cocktail will really pair well with and bring the flavors out in the caramel tart.
LIME MERINGUE
If you are looking for something light and fresh, and that isn’t too filling, we have just the dessert for you. This lime meringue dessert is made with lime curd, crisp meringue, apple lemongrass sorbet and it is topped with sesame. We know you will love this one.
Pairs well with: Coronado Island. Another one of our craft cocktails. The Coronado Island goes well with the really light and fresh taste of lime, especially with the vodka in this drink. Our Coronado Island cocktail is made with Belvedere Vodka, Bombay Sapphire Gin, Bacardi Superior Rum, Fernet, cirtuis, seltzer and Fleur de Sel.
COFFEE AND CAKE
If you are looking for an old standby dessert, we have a classic option for you. This roasted hazelnut cake comes with a milk chocolate custard and is served with espresso ice cream and Mascarpone cream. It is a great take on a classic dessert option and provides a fun twist on an old favorite.
Pairs well with: Taylor 10 Tawny. This is a classic dessert wine that will go great with the cake served with this dessert.
