One of the unfortunate parts about being one of the premier San Diego Sushi joints is that dessert often gets overlooked. And we can’t really be too mad. It just means that people are excited about our entrées, oysters, fresh catch seafood and cold/hot plates. So the best thing that we could do to keep dessert from being the unsung hero is to raise awareness! There are two kinds of people in the world: those with a sweet tooth, and liars. Which one are you? Don’t worry, that’s a rhetorical question, but we’ve got to ask you one very important question: did you save room for dessert?

Our dessert menu is short and sweet, so we’ll get right to it, because we also have some tantalizing drink choices to choose from as well! 

 

Rocky Road Baked Alaska – Chocolate marshmallow semifreddo, Candied almonds, Sea salt meringue, Warm chocolate sauce

 

Secret Tart – Caramelized Banana Cream, Coconut Mousse, Sea Salt Butterscotch

 

Lemon Meringue Crepe Cake – Guava Sorbet, White Chocolate Crumble, Toasted Sea Salt Meringue, Farmer Market Citrus

 

CHURRO ICE CREAM SANDWICH – WHITE CHOCOLATE CRUMBLE, VANILLA BEAN ICE CREAM, CARAMEL SAUCE

If all of the above sounds too rich for you, then worry not because sometimes dessert comes in the form of a night cap. 

 

Fonseca Late Bottle Vintage 2009 – This wine shows fresh, black fruit and dark cherry aromas and flavors, with spice notes. This concentrated, structured wine has great volume and mouthfeel, with fine length on the finish.

 

Taylor 10 Tawny – Mellow and elegant, combining delicate wood notes with rich aromas of mature fruit, it is bottled for immediate drinking.

 

Taylor 20 Tawny – fully matured in seasoned oak casks, slowly developing the complex mellow flavours and the smooth luscious palate. Read more.

 

Taylor 30 Tawny – Suave and elegant, with lively acidity to the butterscotch, caramel, hazelnut and custard flavors, stretching into the plush midpalate. The long finish is spicy and fresh, showing notes of citrus rind

 

Grappa, Gaja Darmagi – A crystal clear Italian pomace brandy, this grappa offers a delicate floral and spice aroma leading into a dense, structured texture and a fresh, rich finish
