The holiday season is full of indulgences. There are all of the holiday gatherings and parties that center around food, the abundance of sweets and calorie-rich foods in your home, the gifts of even more foods, and the busy schedule that makes it hard to keep up with your workout routine. It’s easy to let go of your fitness or health priorities during this season, which can leave you feeling frustrated when New Year’s Day hits and the holiday season ends.
But it doesn’t have to be that way. You can enjoy holiday meals and evenings out at Lionfish without sacrificing your health or breaking your diet. Many of our dishes are health-conscious but we don’t sacrifice taste to save calories. Instead, you’ll enjoy rich, fresh flavors thanks to our healthy plates, and you won’t be left feeling guilty after your meal.
Healthy Options at Lionfish
If you’re looking for healthy options, you’ll find plenty of them at Lionfish. Start off with a salad, like our Kale Salad or Japanese Style Tomato Salad, both of which have plenty of flavor without being high in calories. If you’re gluten-free, we have plenty of items to suit, like our Yellow Corn Soup made with coconut milk, lemongrass, spiced pepitas, and olive oil.
Our cold and hot plates are perfectly sized so that you get plenty of flavor without over-indulging. Try our Sashimi Salad, made with tuna, salmon, Hiramasa, bass, cucumber, seaweed, sesame, and dashi pickled onion. Our daily selection of oysters are also served with white balsamic mignonette and lemon for a lighter, equally delicious option.
Order one of our fresh catch plates for a healthy dish where the true flavors of the seafood are allowed to emerge. For instance, our Whole Steamed Baja Striped Seabass is prepared with melted leeks, Spigarello broccolini, cilantro, scallion, and Sucio sauce. The Roasted Ora King Salmon is another great choice, and with orange, fennel, almond, cauliflower, tahini, and chermoula, it’s gluten-free.
We also offer plenty of entrees that are healthy choices. The Half-Roasted Mary’s Chicken is a gluten-free dish served with swiss chard, and the 8 oz Center Cut Filet is also gluten-free.
Don’t forget the other health benefits of enjoying a meal at Lionfish – less stress! The holiday season is fast-paced and endlessly busy, and when you can find ways to reduce your stress level, be sure to take advantage of them. Let Lionfish take care of all of the cooking so you can sit down and enjoy a meal, whether it’s a dinner with friends after Christmas shopping or a celebratory holiday meal with your family.
